Once….

Once is a book of determination and strength. You might be wondering why it is called Once. It is because every chapter starts with Once.

Once by Morris Gleitzman is the story of a young Jewish boy who is determined to escape the orphanage he lives in to save his Jewish parents from the Nazis in the occupied Poland of the Second World War.

Everybody deserves to have something good in their life. At least Once.

In my point of view, Once is one of the most touching and amazing story that I have ever read!!

Felix, who is a Jewish boy, has been hidden in a Catholic orphanage by his parents to protect him from Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. He escapes, to search for his parents after he finds a whole carrot in his soup, which he believes is a sign that has been sent to him from his parents.

After the overwhelming feeling of saving a girl called Zelda from a burning house, he searches for a home for them both. But will they survive?
